....and I just press the soft fondant/sugarpaste in the mould, them put it aside to harden.
I carefully trim away the extra bits after.

Yea, I plan some cakes over a week so I can construct/plan and dry. With most fondant items, I
leave them a whole day to harden. Theres nothing worse than finger dents
