It was made as a surprise for my son as a good luck cake for going to Uni. I made and hid it while he was out with one of his friends so he didn't suspect anything
Giving it to him was a bit more challenging as he was out and about saying goodbye to friends, so we gave it to him yesterday morning.
We are all very proud of him, and are going to really miss him while he's away, but there is going to be one great Christmas get-together to look forward to
Thankyou very much
My son is getting settled in this week, then it's hard studying for 12 weeks until he has Christmas break!
The cake is amazing as always, though I must admit I hate that EDF advert!
Thankyou...and yes ....I get annoyed with the advert, but my son found it cute.
...I'm lucky in the respect that he is only a 40 minute drive away, but it feels so weird that he's not here. I have had
long enough to get used to the idea, but never thought I'd feel so ......well lost and sad, but happy and proud. It's a lot
of emotions to deal with, but I know it's for all the right reasons
I know Clare.......it seemed years away, but soon comes round quick.
I know Josh going to Uni is for the best. I've got 2 girls at home who have had to fight for factory jobs despite
them having quallifications, so he needs the best start he can get bless him, he's certainly worked for it
I bet he's glad to be leaving. I've never worked there, but have worked in a Chinese take-away and Beefeaters when the kids were little. Both
hard work for little pay, and barely any breaks. Hope he enjoys it better there Clare
