Thank goodness it's the last day of school today..(yes, I actually enjoy my kids home :))
...It means a bit of a more relaxed routine, and half an hour lay-in!

These cakes were both done for two of the kids to take in to school today. One is for a raffle, and the other is one is my daughters ideas for saving money on getting the whole class Easter eggs!

Both are chocolate sponge, with chocolate butter-icing. Each has an easter egg, and mini eggs in. The baskets were made with a basket imprinter, and a quilt pattern tool pressed on rolled out fondant.....

I love the ceramic look too!
Ever thought about making Easter Egg Cakes? Although I'm not sure if kids would be happy or not with that. I know I would be though :)

These are really beautiful. The glaze makes the baskets look like ornamental ceramics, which is what I thought they were at first glance! It's a very sweet design on the right-hand basket, lovely imprint :)
