Thanks a lot for this tutorial It will be usefull for me this week. Can I ask you about the details of the doll like sashi and flowers on kimono? Did you paint it, or it was made from marzipan as well? I wish to be as skilled as you...Thanks for an answer
I am so envious Today I baked some cake in cups - because I am gonna do just some small statues on top of a cake - geisha and samurai. I am afraid it wonīt be any good -it is my first time to do something like it. And it is quite hard to find some fondant to cover the statue - last time I used marzipan - but it crumbles, so I have to use something else
It it is possible, I would like to try it at home. Not sure when but I will give it a try If I donīt bother you with it- can you look for some recipes?...Thanks I am still fighting with my statues at home
uuuf... It was hell...but somehow I made it...It doesnīt look so neat and beautiful like yours, but I gave it my best, hope that the cake will be accepted as a birthday cake One more time - thanks for this tutorial - it was really helpfull
It's been a long hard road to stage I've got to now, so don't be too hard on yourself. I've gone through some horrible looking cakes in the past and used to say I'd never do it again. It's really down to practice and patience, so don't lose heart. I'm sure who it's for will like it and know you have put alot of effort into it.....
Thankyou very much!!...and I hope the step-by-steps help. I initially put them up to hopefully answer peoples questions on how it's structured.......that and also had people saying that they thought they were clay Family Birthdays are the best way to practice...thankfully with 5 kids, I got plenty!
