This is a cake I've just finished for my daugher for her 18th. It's sculpted chocolate sponge with chocolate orange butter-icing.....and tasted lovely..... It turned out about 11 inches tall without the tree.
If you would like to use this image for anything at all, would you please let me know before you do so.....Thankyou..
wow their really good It's neat the things you make with the fondant and sugar paste, Most of my cake have be decorated with just icing and creative decoration placement and creative use of food coloring *laughs* I need to get photos up of them.
the tree with flowers looks like it was a bitch to make lol. Like it looks like it took you ages you did fantastic! How many rods did you have to put inthere to hold it?
...and yes, the petals on the tree took forever The cake itself wasn't too bad. When it's for one of the kids, and there isn't too much pressure, things seem to go a bit more smoothly.
By rods, do you mean the tree? If so, the stages photo here shows [link]
Errr...just from what I thought would work. I tried to think of a way to make it all edible, but knew nothing would really support all those icing petals
....and if it helps to give you a bit of inspiration, heres a few of my first cakes....and those were the better ones![link]
..thankyou for the watch by the way
Of course I'd love to see more cakes ^^
...I'll keep watch for when you get some photo's up ^^
