Thankyou....:)
I don't know a thing about lighting for photographs, only that you need plenty! so I just put this under my kitchen unit which had lights underneath.

You can make ribbon out of fondant to look kind of real, but using propper ribbon does stand out more, and is easier :)

Well I don't really know how exactly...all I know is to roll it out very thin, and be able to put foam or something under the loops till it dries :)

Well...I've put on designs that I have made over a few years...thought I'd save them up for December to put people in the mood :santa:
I've done a few present cakes with different colours and bows...a very adaptable cake :)

Your bow is so neat...I can never get the loops to sit like that when I make my own...is there a tip to making it so neat?

:) I put the 2 flat pieces of ribbon on the cake first, and stuck it down with RI. Then I made the top part separately using 4 looped bits of ribbon, sewed them together, then stuck them on with icing. It's the only way I could get it to look neat.

I make the loopy bow you can see on Youtube but can never centre the loops properly..this is much better even on a real present.
