Quality Street Cake by ginas-cakes Quality Street Cake by ginas-cakes
I don't like doing the same cake designs, but this one is so versatile. I made this for a fund-raising bake sale at my husbands work, so hope it fetches a bit for the charity :fingerscrossed:

Annoying isn't it! They know it is the best loved flavour yet you only get a few! the big tins are just as bad! Do they still sell them individually? I never bought them as they were so overpriced for what it was!

They sell the giant ones still. I think the lack of favourites is just a scam so you buy more.
..and have you noticed every year, the tins seem to get smaller and smaller :sherlock:

i believe the same! and yes, it's the same with everything, getting smaller yet the prices gets bigger! I am not a big fan of Quality Streets anyway, too much toffee for me, I have Lock Jaw Syndrome so can't eat hard or chewy things without it causing a lot of pain for my jaw. I prefer roses, one year we had 3 tins of them for chrsitmas! Not surprisingly we went off them for a while after that!

...I've gone off them....but more due to the minute they are stocked, my hubby goes and buys a few tins because they are on 'offer', then all we have by New Years, is a full tin of toffees that have been transferred from the other ones :)

...I'm going to ban him this year so he can't buy any until at least December :D
