Some years ago I was thrown a surprise party and a cake was made for me in the shape of a frog. Apparently it looked very cheerful when it was made but somehow things changed overnight (runny icing?) and by the time I got to see it, it looked grumpy and like it had palsy or something. Also, it originally had some baby froglets but most of these mysteriously disappeared during the night (cake maker's kids). Maybe that's why it looked so sad.
I have a photo of it somewhere, and I'm tempted to find it and scan it and put it up on DA, just for a laugh.
This cake caused hilarity for years, my son still laughs about it. Apparently he has a photo of me standing by the cake wearing a shower cap in the shape of a frog! (I'm wearing the shower cap, not the cake, of course). That won't be going on DA (hopefully).
Don't think for one minute that I'm comparing it with your cake, it was just the frog theme and the general pose.
You'll have to see if you can find the photo....I can't even imagine it..
