Beautiful work, beautiful lady! I hope you had a great time for Valentine's Day. My traditional Valentine is Feb 24th so I may take the opportunity this weekend to practice on my own chocolate boxes (either making or eating them, I haven't decided yet ).
Oh, I will surely stay away from the eating option Besides, it is much more rewarding to me to see other people eating the stuff they made in class (and a bit sneaky because the pounds will not go enhance my own fluffy parts ). A good friend of mine told me the day before Valentine's Day that she and her husband celebrate Love Day every day so it doesn't make any difference to them that it's the 14th or not. Sounds like a great idea to me
Awww...that's very sweet of your friend and her husband. I can remember those days when the date it was didn't matter ....then came along all the kids, and now we are lucky to have time to celebrate our own Birthdays
I'll have to watch out for them. My local supermarket is quite unusual in that it stocks some English (and South African) brands of things. It's so good to see Frys Peppermint Creams, Branston Pickle, PG Tips and who knows what in their little import section.
I usually forget about the English brands until I actually see them - except for Peppermint Creams LOL I was only 15 when I left the UK and I'm 56 now so it's a long time and we've never been back.
Yes, it's summer here so they would most definitely melt into one. And probably go white speckled and crumbly, as chocolate used to do here every summer before air-conditioning was widespread. No supermarket stocked chocolate biscuits during summer, and very few chocolate bars. But everywhere's air-con'd now so we live normal lives at last I appreciate your thought very much. It truly is the thought that counts
Ooooooh...so you will remember when the Fry's creams had 3 flavours? One was just cream, one was peppermint and the other was 5 different fruit flavours in one. I miss the fruit one. Each section had a different flavour. They haven't sold them for about 20 years now. It seems all the best chocs fade out
With the heat and lack of chocolate, I bet everyones trim I think that's what the UK needs....a heatwave, and lack of chocolate. Either that, or re-design holidays. We just get over Christmas chocolates....then it's Valentines....then it's Easter It seems to be the cheepest an easiest present to give. The kids come home from school and have always got something sweet as a present from their friends
Haha just a little. Oh, you had to find the Happy Valentine Project and there was a journal to follow. It was really nice sending them cause I got ones from all my friends which was really nice. It was more like friendship day than Valentines Day
