...and thankyou. The hardest cakes to do sometimes are the square and mathematical ones. I seem to have a bit of a nightmare with them ^^

How did you get those lines so straight on the top, on the middle sides of the 'X' ?

I made an 'X' template out of photo paper, and scored around it so I knew where it was going. Then I used a metal ruler to indent it.
...I had to do as much as I could while the icing was still soft, so it was lucky the weather ws quite warm!
