....and many thanks for the watch! ^^
Thankyou for your comment
...and cake making wasn't my first choice of art to specialise in. I
was told at 15 by an uncle, that a cake I made at the time was terrible!
I didn't even think about doing another one until my daughters 2nd Birthday when I
was 19. I found it extremely difficult, and was greatful that my daughter was too young
I made the odd cake now and again, and bought books to learn from.
I went through many cakes like these to get to the stage I'm at now.
The main motivating factor has been to see the look on my kids and family's face when they see their
cake. The more cakes I've done, the better I feel the next one has to be to get the same or better reaction.
If you ever wanted to try cake decorating, I highly recommend books by Debbie Brown. Her designs are really
challenging, but she explains the process really well. You'll have to let me know if you do!
It is really time consuming, so perhaps when you have more time. I plan a whole week sometimes for cakes
just so I don't rush it, or fluster.....and to correct mistakes if I've made them ^^
.....and no problem at all....any time!
