This is a notice for any of my UK based cake makers out there. 

A friend of my daughter is getting Married in August and can't seem to find a shop that will make her cake to a design she would like. 

I said to her that I would ask my friends on dA as I know that someone will be able to either make, or recommend someone.

Is there anyone in/around or near Newcastle who can help?

if so, would you please send me a note and we can swap details.

I've just recieved a note saying......

This notice is to inform you that we have received one or more formal copyright complaints against content you have posted. These complaints are "DMCA takedown notices" under section 512 of the United States Copyright Act and we are therefore required to remove the content from DeviantArt.com.

I was given notice to remove it, but in the 5minutes 5 seconds I recieved the note, it was already taken down

It was for a hello kitty wall art I painted for my daughters bedroom. I didn't receive any money for it....I would have mentioned that I had an on-line reference but can't check now.

I've tried to contact dA admin, but it seems to send me round in circles.......can anyone help?


It's got me paranoid that I might have other work that I'll get a complaint about, although I've given as much detail as I can and credit to others designs that I've done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

....This is just to say to anyone who watches me who has a group that I've left.....sorry  It's nothing personal, but I feel I'm not being a good deviant.

I've not had time to look through group art and have been deleting stacks.......this is not what I joined dA for....and not what should be happening. 

I only submit my work to dA, and the views from people who enjoy and take time to look at it has helped to get them seen on the World Wide Web which I would never have dreamed of.

I have seen many new arts, crafts and have been inspired by art I wouldn't have usually, had I not looked. I've also made many new friends along the way and been able to learn from them too

......so, anyway to the 300+ people I watch, and the groups I still bellong to I will still be viewing you work with the same anticipation and enthusiasm. If I find myself with more time on my hands, I'll re-join groups that I've left......if I'll be welcome back

It´s important to say that our site its a course marketplace where authors and teachers from Brazil can upload their own online courses and then sell them to online students. And it is a hard work to find and track copied materials that people get from the internet. We are very sorry for this, and we are taking care of the situation where the course it´s gonna be removed, and we asked the author of this course to remove all images and information that he got from your material.

Hi everyone

A fellow dA has just told me that this website www.buzzero.com/culinaria-e-ga… is advertising corses for 3D cakes and from what I can see, at least 1 cake of mine is being used without my permission. Other cakes are mentioned, so maybe other cake artists might want to check it out.

 I haven't got a clue how to approach the situation, or what I should do next.

Also with a gallery full of photo's that seemed to be easily cropped and copied for others to use as they wish, can anyone advise what I could do to prevent this?
My work is only on this website and is to be enjoyed by fellow members of dA, and those who ask for my permission to use my photo's elswhere, so to think that others are using them to make themselves money is disappointing and a bit upsetting.
